If you're going to the Maldives, skip Hulhumale and go straight to the resorts. This island is still under construction, so it's dirty. There is only one tine beach area for westerns and it's dirty. Prices are high, so you might as well pay high...More

Excellent for transit. Can access by bus from airport directly. Frequency 30 mins (on the hour) from 6 am to midnight. Fare is 20 Rf (as at Mar 2018). Plenty of small hotels for transit between airport to resorts. Local island with residents and shopping.

Staying a night before flying home. Beach is typically littered with rubbish. Nice swimming area enclosed by man-made reef. Wouldn't stay unless out of necessity

You will get ferries going there every 10 minutes. They are very inexpensive. However, don't choose to pay in dollars as that will cost you more. Get the money converted from a bank at the airport and then pay them in Rufiya.
