This is the only thing worth visiting in Khasab and it's nothing much to see...our shuttle driver arranged a private vehicle to drive us around and there were beautiful views of the mountain and the sea...everything else is so dry, hardly any trees...interesting architecture with their houses, everything is light colored, mostly the color of sand due to the heat...found the cheapest prices... We stopped in Khasab as part of a cruise of the Persian gulf. We had an infant in her stroller with us so we couldn't do the dolphin watching in the fjords and decided to do the Khasab castle. It is a short walk from the harbour and is easy to find. We were assisted completely free of charge by... More

Great to be able to climb up into the fort and to walk along the high walls. Loved the exhibits of how life would have been for those residing there.

a small, but well maintained castle in the centre of Khasab I have been there twice in the past 2 years and it was not busy in either occasion Entry is cheap and well worth it In the centre of the court there is a tower with a good overview of Musandam's past and present including a 10-minute video

A small Castle in Musandam, Oman. One has to feel that time living by visiting this small fort. Not a very attraction one for all class of traveler. But good for one having historic interest,

This 400-year old castle/fort is set up as a museum/exhibit now, with different themed rooms. Very interesting. I had this huge place to myself for most of the time, not a lot of tourists until a bus dropped off about 20.
