Definitely worth paying a visit to the Land of Francincense Museum - although staff are not very helpful. But information is displayed nicely and it is very interesting to get a better understanding of Oman‘s history.

A cruise ship with 3000 passengers. Most of them going to the museum. And almost all of the stores behind the museum were closed. Th cruise ship schedules are made months in advance. It's not a surprise. Yet, only 1 store open. Missed opportunities.

Beautiful museum with lots of interesting things to see. Located by waterways and next to the architectural site. A definite trip if you are in Salalah.

A fascinating history of not only frankincense but maritime history of the region as well. Plenty of parking but costs about $20 to get in with a vehicle.
