First of all: Unless you want to go birdwatching, you absolutely need no guide. The track has signs and is easy to find. This track is very beautiful, there is no entrance fee (!) and if you start early (we started at 7), you'll have...More

There are millions ago articles posted and there is little to add: make up your mind whether you like more up or downhill. Once that is “clear” for you it will be nice experience for you ;-) It will not be needed to start before...More

I didn't realize how long the hike would feel, as you spend a good 4 miles hiking up hill (mostly at the end) It's a very beautiful trail, however hiking uphill for 2-3 miles at the end was awful.

We did this hike in mid April, no guide, from Boquete up to Mirador las Rocas Lookout point and back, and it was probably one of the best hikes we did during our stay. Initially we wanted to do the hike from Cerro Punta straight...More

We had a great hike along the Sendero Los Quetzales. We left a car at the Boquete side around 6:30 am and drove with friends to the Volcancito side, which took about two hours, setting off on the hike at around 10:00 in the morning....More
