$5 entry, children free, $1 parking. The ranger at the station was friendly and helpful, and although it was raining when we walked we still had a great time. The good thing about this walk is that you can do any distance because it is...More

The Quetzales trail was on my to-do in Panama for a while. The best months are March and April because you have a higher chance of seeing the bird and it's dry season. You are more likely to see them in the pipeline road which...More

We had a wonderful time walking by the river and taking a dip. There was a wonderful place to climb nearby and we watched the climbers since we didn't have our gear. We found a really nice place to swim and relax on a huge...More

I went with a group of 6 people on the Quetzales hike. It's quite a long hike where you go up 700meters in altitude so be aware of that. It has amazing spots to look at the rainforest. I would recommend doing this when in...More

We went from Alto Chiquero to Alto Respingo and back. 14km and about 1000m altitude. Total time 7-8h. Can be done easily if you are used to hike. Great hike well maintained and signalized. No guide really necessary. Good trecking shoes are recommended

Go in the morning and approach on the Volcan side of the trail rather than on the Boquete side. Otherwise, you'll be walking uphill most of the way, which is very tiring. The hike takes at least 4 hours. Start in the early morning when...More

Due to previous weather conditions, the trail was closed on the day we planned to go. I'm not aware if there is a site where you can get this info, but it would have been helpful and we wouldn't have had to pay a $15:00...More
