Taboga express beach trip

I did the package deal which included a walking tour, lunch at Pier Bar & Grill, a welcome drink and the beach to include chair and umbrella. The ride across was pleasant. I... read more

I went for a day to get away from Panama City. I was interested in going to a beach for a day and this was the closest in proximity, about 1,5 hours including the ferry ride. A little island, some parts are quaint, but the beach was noisy, crowded, dirty, and lots of rocks, not for swimming. Unfortunately nobody told... More

Our group rented a huge catamaran to take us across the bay to Taboga Island. First, the party boat was really fun. Music all trip long. Plus they had a BBQ on board so we made a BBQ lunch. When we finally docked at a calm cove area, we were able to jump off the catamaran and go swimming. Snorkeling... More

I did the package deal which included a walking tour, lunch at Pier Bar & Grill, a welcome drink and the beach to include chair and umbrella. The ride across was pleasant. I prefer a beach where rocks do not separate me from the water. Had to wear my flip flops down to almost the edge of the water. Very... More

Visited by mostly locals and a few tourists. Unfortunately some people are so ignorant and leave their garbage, mainly beer and soda cans, on the beach. Water is fairly clear but we encountered some stingy jellyfish.

It was amazing. I read a few reviews talking about dirty beaches with broken glass everywhere. While the beaches were actually very clean, I did find broken glass (nothing new or sharp as glass bottles aren't allowed on the beach) but the glass I found was all VERY old, dull, and smooth. One piece still has a pottery stamp from... More

Breath taken. Picture do this island no justice! If you get time go check this island out and stay a night you will not be disappointed! Walk around the town and check the area out. The people who live on the island are so nice!

from casco viejo to the ferry it takes 15 min. The boat transfer takes 30 minutes..and then you are away from city noise and stress. Just relax one day on the beach and endjoy the local food offerd...returns start from 2.30 PM right time to catch the 6-7pm flights from Tocumen back to Europe...

You can see the drain tubes going straight to the sea on the "beaches". We didn't even dare put our feet in there. Seemed like the perfect place to get a nasty infection. In addition, the beaches were dirty, filled with trash. People threw out the trash on the roads and streets. Very nasty. Shame there is no inviting atmosphere... More

We checked out the Rapido Ferry - the best and costs just $20 round trip. If it's a holiday (like New Years) its best to book in advance. You need to bring either your passport or a photocopy - the border guard asked to see our panama "stamp" page but after telling him this was all we have he let... More

We took the 30 minute express ferry from Panama City at the yacht club at 930. Make sure to bring your passport. You also have to tell them what time you'll be taking the ferry back. We decided on 230 which was enough time for us. We walked through the town and hiked to the lookout. Off the beach the... More
