Such a magnificent, beautiful and gorgeous ox-bow lake; see Giant Otters and such incredible birds at close range. Go out at night and see the shining light from the many huge caiman. I have been here four times now and can't wait to return.

A long 3km walk on a muddy trail (with a partial walkway) to get to the lake. If you're used to seeing lakes, you won't be impressed, other than a visit from some otters and spotting a few caimans on the shoreline.

Walked up a long old logging road to a place where canoes where waiting. Our guide paddled us out the creek and into the lake where we saw all kinds of wildlife. A very enjoyable day!

Superb variety of bird life, giant otters, black cayman, two nights at the lodge was only just right and we could have stayed longer.

An easy day trip that consists of a 40 min boat trip followed by a 5km walk then 3 hours on the lake including a lunch stop. We went in the dry season so hardly had any bugs. Most people wore long pants but we...More
