The world's highest sizeable body of water begs for exploration, beyond the regular tourist locations. Its coast, islands, exotic communities, natural and human history have so much to offer foe anyone NOT addicted to 4-star luxuries.

This was a great place to finally visit after hearing about it in school. The altitude is high but worth the trip to say you have visited the highest navigable lake in the world.

Our group tour was all inclusive in our booking so I don't know what the actual cost was. Sorry I can't help. What ever you do it is well worth it.
