Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The tourist walk at the top that you pay 100 peso each for is poorly signed, poor information given, path hazardous and claims to go to the bottom carpark. It is not relayed that the path is closed halfway down. Why is this not stated, as you pay for the whole experience. Walked back to the top. Zero care from the cashier when I stated the walk was closed. On a positive, there is not a bad view from the start of the walking track.

Our driver drops us in the middle of the grotto so that we will not walk that far.. I read in an article its 250 steps before you reach the grotto.. there is a small chapel that you can pray and a candle that you can buy... overall a must visit place if you are in Baguio

We went there a bit late in the afternoon. The place was not anymore crowded. We enjoyed the cool weather.
Great view of the city. First time to eat strawberry 🍓 taho. Delicious. Cheap for P30 only

This place improved so much the last time I went here. The feeling of satisfaction of going up catching your breath is a little sacrifice for Our Lady. Although we did not get near Her as we are headed to Mirador Heritage and Eco Park. This place is still is as peaceful as it is although there are some photo op around the grotto it still have that serene feels when you visit Her.

Get ready to hike for more than 100 steps. Sore muscles are worth the peacefulness and the great view on top.

It was my first time on this place. I was overwhelmed since in order for me to see the "Grotto" I need to climb 300 stairs. It was tiring but, on top, you can see the majestic view of Baguio city. Wow!! And to add up, place is clean.

If you don't intend to pray to Jesus thru Mary, dont go up. This is a pilgrimage site, not an accidental exercise venue where you can take pictures for sharing on social media.

I grew up near this place and when I was a teen, this would be the place I'd go to if I didn't want anyone to find me. So how many steps does it have? You have to go and count it yourself, because if I told you, where's the fun in that? ;)

Located on top of a hill some kilometers outside of Baguio City proper, the shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes can be reached after more than 200 steps from the base. Generally recommended for religious purposes, there's not much this place can offer to tourists - the view of the city was not even visible because of pine trees - except for some picture-taking session with native 'Igorots' who sell candles and flowers.
Taxi going there is very cheap - we commend taxi drivers in Baguio who give back 'change' and were generally honest compared in Manila and other cities - just tell the cab to drop you at the gate near the parking area on the hill. Ascend from there to the top is shorter compared with that from the base. Take time and make sure you're physically fit for the climb.

hi, does this place facing to the west, where we can see the sunset? thanks

Hello, @Nancy N! It would be the easiest traveling by private van. Where are you coming from? If you're traversing the Naguilan / Bauang – Baguio road, ask the driver to turn to the way that leads to Dominican Hill Road. The Gel Viva Transient House and the Freyannah Store are the landmarks. Private cars can get a parking in the area. Cheers!
