The 'mother of all parks' in Baguio city, the summer capital of the Philippines, is a 32.84-hectare park designed by, and named after, American architect and urban planner Daniel Hudson Burnham, who also designed the original plan for Baguio City as well as Dewey Boulevard (now Roxas Boulevard) in Manila. The park has 12 main areas, the most popular of which are the Burnham Lagoon, a man-made lake with rowboats for hire; a children's playground; a skating rink; the Rose Garden and the Picnic Grove.

The exhibits for this yearly Panabenga Flower Festival was held in this place. My wife who is fond with flowers and me with food, they were available here and we were in awe with the decorations and set ups. We enjoyed the activities and the place itself for this is where people mostly from Metro Manila takes a break. The... More

Went here at 7am with my wife while vacationing in Baguio. Traffic was still light, and so was parking. Strolled around the park at 12C temperature. There were already lots of people running, zumbaing, tai-chiing, boating and strolling. There were displays of entries to the "panagbenga festival" (or flower/plant arrangements) and a lot of stalls selling food and clothing/accessories. We... More

We went and had a stroll around the park on a Saturday afternoon. There were plenty of families enjoying an afternoon out. You can hire boats to row or peddle Swan boats on the small lake in the middle. Food and the usual balloons, toys can be bought. Bike hire on the flat surface around the lake appeared to be... More

The trees in this park made a difference. The air is so fresh. And the morning chill is a good embrace to an exercising body.

It's best for family bonding or just to spend an afternoon with your special someone. If you love soccer, you may bring your soccer ball here and practice or play. It's located at the heart of the City. Great Park!
