I only toured the outside. It was interesting. I believe it's based off of the statue located outside of Rio de Janeiro. There are excellent views of Lisbon.

I'm glad I went to visit. Although it was very busy when we got there. It was well worth the wait. I got to pray at that place; finally.

It is said that this is where Catholicism started in the Philippines. More than 80 percent of Filipinos are Catholic. So this is important not just to the religion but to the country.

We were fortunate to catch a mass as it was starting. Ssince it was the week before Sinulog, there were a lot of people. They had guards and ushers inside the church to guide the people coming in and out of the church.

The place though is near Colon where one has... More

The place for Sinulog celebration, where thousands and thousands of Catholic devotees meet to worship our Holy Infant Jesus, our Senor Sto. Nino! A busy place, yet fulfilling if you will be able to visit this Basilica.
