We stayed in a hotel off of the circle. We have enjoyed our stay here. Including our nightly laugh at the young man trying to sell counterfit Viagra every night we walk. There are plenty of homeless and beggers around the area, but I have not felt unsafe for myself or my family. Tons of places to eat near here.... More

Fuente Osmena means Fountain named after former President Sergio Osmena, a Cebuano. It's a circle that provides a channel and access from the Main Osmena Blvd to secondary streets. It's a large fountain surrounded by a metal fence, which is in fact the Rotunda of the streets. It's a good place to jog and walk on early mornings or late... More

Yes, visit Fuente Osmena Circle at your own risk! Though this is a historic landmark in the city and also serves as a rotunda and public park for weary street dwellers, getting there would entail risking life and limbs. There is no safe pedestrian crossing. There may be zebra stripes indicating crossing spots for people trying to cross the street, still... More

Busy, polluted, noisy, it's really nothing to look at, just a roundabout with a fountain on it. Surrounded by street vendors trying to sell you dodgy pills or fake sunglasses. Crossing the roads isn't easy, there's no traffic lights or crossing points. Not really worth seeing, it's just a busy part of the city.

We bumped into Fuente Osmena as we drove from Mactan Island to Tops Lookout in the taxi we had hired for the day. When I say "bumped into" it is hard to avoid Fuente Osmena, because it is the very heart of Cebu City and is its focal point. It is a small park with a tall fountain in the... More

Seated in the middle of the city, the bustling traffic circles around this park, boasting of hotels and restaurants around. It is similar to the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.

Fuente Osmena is a good location for hotels (ABC Hotel and Summit Hotel is excellent). Plently of Jeepney transport in the area to all parts of the city and easy to catch taxi. Some Touts in the area, but that is too be expected. Just say NO!

This is a place where people meet when there are bands, or get together for a feast of Sinuog or Christmas or a gathering of people for some demonstration or just a gathering of Cebuanos. Thsi area turns into a magnificent one when its Sinulog or Christmas

Fuente Osmena Circle has multiple personalities...by day, it organizes traffic like spokes on a wheel...and at night, it comes alive with lights and park visitors who enjoy the center of life! At Christmastime, a tall Christmas Tree welcomes everyone and at Sinulog (which falls on the 3rd Sunday in January every year), she welcomes the Sto Nino Pilgrimage and Street... More
