The building is situated on the Mures River area. The acoustics of the hall is an exceptional one, cataloged among the top five in Europe.

Arad is one of the ancient cultural center of Transilvanya with a long and significant musical tradition. Since 1833 it is attested establishment of a Conservative, the sixth in Europe, which institutionalizes a specialized musical education.

Worthwhile to see but try to go when there is a concert.The best concert is the New Years Concert in early January which features Strauss. The building contains 2 small museums. One is a natural history museum which you can walk through in 30 minutes....More

A beautiful place close to the banks of the river Mures. If you are lucky enough to be in town on Thursday (when the usual concerts are held) be sure to buy yourself a ticket. The music sounds great in this beautiful concert hall.
