I never miss museums when I travel. This one I found to be in a process of restoring, so the only part of the museum accesible to the public was the Vivarium. There is a collection of snakes and lizards, the largest public collection in my opinion. But I might say that the space was rather small and I would have loved to have more space to admire all those lovely creatures. Maybe when the museum will be opened for the public the Vivarium will benefit of a larger space. To give a hint, the Museum is located in the university campus, near the Geography Faculty. (Google maps can be tricky!)

Other reviews got my hopes up, but we were surprised to see it closed down while it undergoes renovations. You can however visit the basement which houses a rather modest vivarium (mostly reptiles, a few fish). On a cold day, it was nice to find warmth inside, but had I known what was waiting for me in terms of exhibits, I wouldn't have made the walk. The baby had a few laughs, so it wasn't a total loss.
