About
Tiriac Collection represents the exhibition of cars and motorcycles of Mr. Ion Tiriac. Opened to the public in November 2013, the collection includes over 150 historical vehicles manufactured since 1899, but also performant cars, with a current design. Visitors will find the only collection in the world with the 6 Rolls Royce Phantom produced until 1972, as well as exhibits that previously belonged to great names such as Sir Elton John, Sammy Davis Jr. or Bernie Ecclestone.

This represents a unique concept in Romania, being the first private collection that includes impressive vehicles and motorcycle models, manufactured from 1899 until now. In the gallery are exhibited over 150 cars out of a total of approximately 300 units owned by Ion Țiriac and each one of them has a special story.
The exhibition is updated constantly with different cars from the private collection

Behind the models displayed, visitors will discover fascinating stories or famous former owners.

Here you will see the only collection in the world that gathers all 6 Rolls Royce Phantom classic series’, produced until 1972.

Great collection - from the beginning of cars until present day, hundreds of cars, all in mint condition, ready to be driven even. Many special, limited edition cars, some even part of a series of 100 or such. And the admission price is very low (20 lei for adult, 5 lei for student). For me it was better than an auto exposition because it had cars from so many moments in history, and so many limited edition models. It's a 10 minute walk from the airport, so if you have a couple of hours between flights or are just leaving through the north of Bucharest, it's a must see!

How can one person have so many cars!? :)) And how bad of him not to show us all of them...
Now seriously... this is a beautiful car collection. Ion Tiriac is a true car enthusiast and if you have one free hour, you should visit it.
The not so nice part is knowing that his collection is actually much larger. The very nice part is that he rotates some of the cars, so you can always see a few "new" models every time you visit.
It's very close to the airport (almost across the street), outside Bucharest.
It's not a museum and information/data sheet of every car is somehow poor. But it is a wonderful exhibition. Every car nut will love it.

This collection gave me a new perspective over the history of cars. A unique collection that breaks the barriers of a classic museum that turned my visit into an exciting experience! Different style of cars, different brands, that belonged to famous people, all gathered into a classy collection. Something you don't see very often! I totally recommend

Owned by Andre Le Coq the tennis player and richest man in Romania. Its a superb collection of cars in gleaming condition. Only 140 cars are displayed at any one time, there are another 250 in the collection which are rotated in and out of the display. An awesome variety of motors and the entrance is only 15 Lei about £1.50 and its only 5 mins walk from the terminal at Bucharest Otopeni Airport.
We concluded that if you got a cheap flight from London, you could visit this collection as a day trip to Bucharest for less than the entrance fee to Beaulieu Motor Museum in the New Forest.

Great display of cars near the airport. If you're a car person, or traveling with one, it's worth seeing. However, it is run with folks that are not interested in cars and seem more like guards than museum attendants. They weren't awful, but they had an old Soviet type mentality -- not warm or very interested in the cars.

Guys, because I think this is merely a message for men and boys, without being misogynic, Tiriac’s passion for old cars (a former double-tennis player, the former partner of Ilie Nastase on the double games and one of the world Forbes’ top winners…) born out this incredible “museum”-private collection. Go and see it! It’s just in front of the Bucharest Henri Coanda Airport, as you enter on the main highway to Bucharest, under the connection bridge. It’s an absolute must to see!
Ladies, sorry for keeping you at last this time, trust me that you will enjoy it too, but mostly you will enjoy seeing the men salivating or changing their faces seeing those gorgeous technical creatures, some of them unique old “aliens” or limited edition exemplars. Take the “risk” and enjoy it! Ion Tiriac, on his name, didn’t spare any money to fulfill his desires about cars. And he collected only serious pieces, not that kind of fancy-shiny cars.
The ticket is not cheap, but is not expensive either. One you go out you will have the “worth to pay” feeling.

This were one of the top moments of my whole trip to Bucharest! Cars I never have seen before are exhibited in magnificent examples in a fresh and new building. Every car has a plate with all the relevant information, and if you wonder about anything else, the staff will help you. I was completely entertained and loved every bit of the visit. I´ve never seen that many impressive cars in one room before, this is something special, I would recommend it to everybody!

It´s also a nice last impression of Bucharest if you´re a tourist leaving at Henri Coanda aiport, which is just at the other side of the road, a 5 minute walk.

If you travel to Bucharest you must visit Tiriac Collection. There you can find up to 70 old cars coming from 1898 to present. This is a the unique, private and biggest old cars collection from Romania. Cars such as Roll Royce Phantom 1 to 6, lots of Mercedes Benz, Aston Martin, Morgan Aero, Bentleys, MGs, Lincolns, etc are waiting to be admired (let's not forget the Americans...)
You must see them and you will end up loving them...
