This statue is an amazing sight not least because it sits high above a very busy thoroughfare. Yuri sits on top of a very tall pillar that is a little bit out of town but still worth seeing.

This is as close as I can find for the Yuri Gargarin cosmonaut training center a really cool site to visit, the largest underwater training facility is located here, as well as a sweet functional training centrifuge.

The monument epitomises what Yuri Gagarin is known for - fearless, strong and confident, flying alone into space where none had ventured before. The statue can be seen from "afar" while you are in Moscow.

My highlight of a 4-day trip to Moscow, and a 45 minute walk from the "closest tube" thanks to the wrong map on TA!! What a fantastic statue - absolutely stunning.

In the middle of the Street you see this amazing statue of Yuri Gagarin flying to the sky made of Steel. It is on a very busy Street, but you are able to take quick pictures or try to get close to it, but pictures...More
