About
Welcome to Museum of Soviet Arcade Machines – place full of nostalgia and fun! Our museum is unique all over the world, it was founded by three young enthusiasts. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An interesting idea to collect slot machines from our childhood in one place.
At one time, we spent a lot of time throwing 15 kopeck coins in order to shoot at Sea Battle or Sniper.
You can visit this museum as a way of nostalgia, and in order to acquaint children with the games that we played more than 30 years ago. But not the fact that they will impress them more than modern games.
Many machines don't work.

The best museum I have ever been, you get the chance to play with old arcade games, and it is very cheap! The museum shop is also awesome, if I lived in Moscow I would be there everyday!

Located in the expo centre it was a little hard to find as I wasn't expecting it to be located in such a modern building, saying that the transport infrastructure made it pretty easy to get about.

The museum was clean and the staff welcoming and explained the tokens that are used on the machines. A surprising amount of machines in there with instructions in Russian and a few in English, but as you can imagine they are pretty straightforward to play. As is to be expected with machines of this age they do tend to breakdown, so don't be surprised to see a few off for maintenance.

The particular favourites of the wife and I were the basketball and hockey games, great fun and brings the competitive side out in anyone.

Well worth the visit if in the area or if you have any passing interest in video games.

We were unable to find the museum with the building seeming to be under renovation, no signs to indicate where it had gone or when it would open again.

Located in a very beautiful location - the Expo Center - it is nice to walk to the museum.
Compared to gaming today this machines are ancient :)
but the fact that you see those kids playing, and not happy when they have to leave, it shows you that gaming was always fun! :)

Loved it, im not a big video game fan. But this place was fun, fun, fun. I would class it as being that bad its good. You have to find this place if your in moscow i guarantee you will have fun, playing games like ''Pull the Turnip'' and you can even taste some soviet era soda.

If you like videogames you have to go there. You can also have a very good hamburger inside. Very reccomended. It's not huge but you can have a couple of very interesting hours there.

We came here because we saw it mentioned in a New York Times 36 Hours in Moscow article and were not disappointed. Though it's on a main street it's easy to miss as it's tucked in a restaurant. The value was great, we had a fun hour of entertainment. Some of the machines work better than others, but it's no matter as you get plenty of tokens. the lemonade served at the restaurant is fresh and delicious if you find yourself thirsty.

For those of you interested in a comparison, google "80's arcade games" and compare what the "decadent" west was producing in the same time era.... But still great fun both for the entertainment and the historic comparison.

Loads of machines, some different to the ones in st Petersburg too. Also, just really interesting to be able to use such old machine if you’re interested in that sort of thing! Great milkshakes too :)
