The 2 ½ hour performance of the Nikulin Moscow Circus was memorable. Our Scenic river cruise group arrived early so we had an opportunity to see up close a variety of the trained animals in the foyer such as a baby kangaroo, cute dogs doing...More

Given that we do not have circuses in Canada anymore this was a step back to my youth. There were animals involved but I was not overly offended but beware if you are sensitive to this

We wanted to see a Russian Circus and decided on this one, due to location (close to the center) and because it’s the most traditional. It was quite complicated to buy tickets as our Canadian Card was not accepted online. We bought tickets in the...More

I think to just witness the 180 year old tradition one must visit Nikulin circus Amazed to see some of the staffers well past their prime age and may be in 60's and it's a delight how they are retained and meticulously form part of...More

We booked our seats through our hotel concierge. The on line price was 3500 rubles per ticket for the most expensive seats, which was also the cost of our tickets. The show is about 2 hours and 20 minutes long. The first 1 ½ hours...More

Nikulin Moscow Circus on Tsvetnoi Bulvar is one of two circuses in the city.Their program changes twice a year. Excellent acrobatics. Mercifully the only animals they use are seals. Tickets Rbl 400 upwards.

Love it! Located just off central Moscow in a great old building. I had never heard to the circus being famous. Was beyond anything I expected. Small theatre so all seats are good. Acts were fabulous. The closing act is spectacular. Costumes are wonderful. There...More

Fantastic show! I'm now wondering why I haven't been to the circus for so many years. It is no longer entertainment just for kinds. I should say that more than half of the audience were actually adults without children. Great show. Highly recommend!

This was a good night of fun - and no need to pay for the best seats in the house - we had the 2nd cheapest and a fantastic view. I think some of cheapest seats might have problems with columns, but everything else was...More

I check the circus website, they did not specify the dress code but I think casual should be fine. Unlike when you visit cathedrals they expect you to be all covered

We bought tickets at our hotel without problem. We noticed many people queuing to buy tickets at the circus box office. Not sure why you are having difficulties. Keep trying because the performance is well worth it.
