Tired of the snow and cold, for sure you are about the planning some spring holiday or city break. Moscow should be the great choice. Besides the museums, theaters, shopping, restaurants, don’t miss the chance to visit the most beautiful oasis in the city, Gorky Park. Surely, you will recall the childhood when you were changing the chain on the... More

Gorkiy park is, in my opinion, a must for every visitor to Moscow. I spent a day there in summer last year, now I had the opportunity to see it in winter and it was a dream for skaters with a network of rinks and adjacent kiosks with refreshments. A walk further on down the river was a fairytale experience.... More

How beautiful in winter. The ice skating 'rink' which is more like streets flows through this beautiful park. The entrance gates are magnificent. Get your walking shoes on and visit, you won't be disappointed.

Gorky Park is one of many nice parks in Moscow. There are many activities inside. It is possible to walk, run, skate, sun bathe, just rest, eat, drink ..... Easy to access by public transport. Next to river. It is worth visiting for sure.

Just sit on a bench and look around. You will see a lot of russians strolling around. Very nice and relaxed atmosphere and very big. A nice place to get away from the moskow traffic.

In winter Gorky Park has a large ice rink which is very popular. They make ice paths so that the skaters can actually skate right round the park. It is very popular. They have also built raised wooden walkways so that visitors can watch the skaters while they skate underneath. This was one of the most enjoyable places we visited... More

You can walk around this park and it's ....a park. Interesting maybe but not really special....unless you go on a festive day when this place becomes an unbelievably interesting venue. City day is the best, it's crowded, it's fun, it's unbelievable. So take a walk in the park but find a festive dasy and turn that into a most memorable... More

I visited the park in winter and it was beautiful. It is about 25 minutes walk from Red Square to get to the park. There are lots of cafes and restaurants so if you visit in the winter you can escape the cold for a moment!

We ventured into Gorky Park whilst visiting Moscow. Well we arrived on the metro which is rather lovely here in Moscow just for itself. We were here in late December and there was thick snow on the ground. Our kids loved it as we are not used to the delights of snow anymore in the UK. They played in it... More
