Best duck I had. Superb food and ambience! Great service with number of waiters standing on ceremony. Mouthwatering deserts served in very sophisticated restaurant.

The Bolshoi is very expensive. I first visited under the communist regime and bought a ticket from a local outside. He paid pennies and I paid him a few dollars. Now, it’s like any western theatre for tickets and the prices are massive. But don’t...More

What...More

Fantastic. If you ever have the chance, you will find it as beautiful a ballet as you would wish to see. Great theatre, great music, a great experience. Follow it with dinner at the Bolshoi restaurant. Unforgettable.

We were so lucky yesterday to see a performance of The Nutcracker. A truly magical evening! Our first experience on ballet and we are probably now soiled by this. Tricky and expensive for tickets but no regrets at all.

When we were there last month for the ballet, there was no standing room tickets. You had to buy a seat. We dealt directly with the Bolshoi online. Be careful, the theatre is really a horseshoe shaped theatre with the... More

That's correct, and you have to get the ticket on the day. No tours on public holidays.
