Scriabin's house is located very close to Arbat, very easy to reach. It's worth a visit even if you don't know the composer, cause it's a specimen of a house of the beginning of the 20th century both outside and especially inside, with much of the original furniture still in place. Plus you can see the original piano of the... More

The museum to visit if you are interested in music. Authentic furniture, a typical high class apartment of the beginning of the XX century. Taking a guide is worth every rouble you pay.

My kids and I loved this visit. The museum provides you with a 3-pager information on the composer and this is just what you need to embrace the feeling of the place. Great experience. Perfect to combine with a walking tour in the area of the beautiful palaces of the Imperial times.

Staying in Arbat

Neighbourhood Profile
Arbat
Crowds of tourists, both local and international take in Old Arbat and its modern and gigantic peer – New Arbat. One reason visitors keep coming is no doubt Konstantin Melnikov’s famous private house, now open to the public and worthy of a visit. After exploring one of the oldest parts of Moscow, avoid the crowds and turn to the side streets and boulevards where calmness and affordable food is plentiful.
