Museum collection would transfer you to the times of Pushkin. There are so many letters, manuscrips, books, pictures and pieces of furniture that you may forget the present. Of course it is much easier if you can understand Russian language, without that experience is limited....More

We visited with the crowds around New Year. The museum is well laid out and the rooms are themed to the exhibits. A lot of variety. We filled 5 hours straight in the main building (no time for the gallery and the other 2 buildings...More

Huge queues waiting to buy a ticket. We had an online one but there was no reference as to where we should go to collect the ticket. We had to go all the way up the queue and ask somebody which mentioned we should go...More

The Museum is wonderful, what is NOT - the internet ticket booking. There is no option to print the tickets out - one has to arrive half an hour earlier the OPENING hour to collect his ticket. Why should I waste my time?

I live in Moscow and I adore visiting the Pushkin Museum of Fine Art. I've seen lots of exhibitions in many countries and I can say that in Moscow we have the best exposition of Van Gohg chef-d'oeuvres!!!

This museum contains a vast array of reproductions and copies of masterpieces whose original is somewhere else. However there is nothing farther from the truth as considering this place a sheer collection of copycat artists; during the communist era Russia did not import / export...More

Besides slight difficulties finding the entrance to the museum we were pleased we made the effort to get inside. We enjoyed the special exhibit of works by Rembrandt and some of his contemporaries now on show.

Excellent selection and wonderful exhibitions available. It starts with wonderful architecture. Plan to take at least one day to lazily wander through the various rooms to gather in as much as you can.

Lovely collection, if you haven't seen art in Moscow, you will see pieces that you may have never seen in a traveling exhibition, by artists you may be familiar with. In addition to paintings there are a lot of casts of well known sculptures.
