Full disclosure upfront—-I have yet to actually use the service in person.

However, I had plans to be in Moscow and Saint Petersburg during the month of April and I’d contacted WelcomeTaxi for the ride between airports and my hotels. The reservation process was very quick and easy and rates very affordable in comparison to other options I found and having an English-speaking available driver helped me choose their service.

Well, as COVID-19 erupted into the global stage and plans for international travel were unraveling (understandably) daily I reached out to these folks and asked if some form of accommodation could be made for me so as not to lose my deposits entirely. By the start of the next business day I’d heard directly from their CEO Nicolas that I’d be provided a voucher equivalent to the full amount of my deposits and useable in the future when travel once again becomes an option.

Now, as stated upfront, I have yet to actually use their services first-hand but given how timely, professional and courteous they have been up to this point I have every confidence the actual pickup and drop off process will be nothing short of a similarly pleasant experience.

I will update this review post accordingly once I’ve concluded that journey but for now I’m giving them a solid 5 bubbles.

I would definitely recommend this service. We went to.Moscow and asked for English speaking drivers. Was.met at the airport on time also was text that they were there while we were waiting for our luggage. The same person took us when we left Moscow. Again turned up early and text us to say they were in the lobby and take our time.

Reliable and efficient service .

We used Welcome Taxi in Moscow and St Petersburg. The service was excellent .The cars were clean ,the drivers were friendly and courteous. No hesitation about using them again.

Yandex taxi in Moscow airport

Go to Yandex taxi counter in Moscow airport DIRECTLY if you do not have Yandex apps. Don't contact the guy in front of counter although they have Yandex taxi name card. Seems those are not official, taxi charges more than 10 times by using the Yandex apps. We were cheated and no one can help.

Dear ahming00, Your remarks about Yandex.Taxi in the airport look very reasonable, however I do not understand why you give our company, WelcomeTaxi, a 3-star rating in this relation? May I kindly advise you to prebook our hassle-free and cost-effective transfer from or to any Moscow airport, just in order to feel the essential difference between regular taxi and our private hire service and to have all the reasons to rate us with 5 stars next time? :) Best regards, Nicolas

Excellent Moscow taxi service

I used Welcome Taxi twice in Moscow last week. Extremely easy booking process on either the website or on WhatsApp, both were great. Taxis on both occasions were on time and had very professional and friendly English speaking drivers. The price was fixed, and I was able to make payment by PayPal. Also, when your booking is confirmed you receive an email with the name, phone number and photo ID of your the driver who will collect you. They also have a range of cards which you can choose from when you make your booking. I will definitely use their services the next time that I visit Moscow. Great, efficient and friendly service,

Be aware of the taxi which you can order from the Apps. They are more expensive and over charge you by nothing.And they are dishonest. We got send to the difference address and ask to get out of the taxi just because the taxi driver has another order. We had to take our luggages and walk to our destination. The taxi driver would not listen to you. Although I complaint to the department of transport at Moscow government organisation, you still get no response.
You 've better to take the taxi at the train station. They are very honest.

Booked a pickup at Amsterdams Schipol airport in June last year. Plane landed, delayed on Tarmac., late to gate and by the time we picked up our bags ( phone not working to contact Welcome) they had left the airport and we were forced to take a cab. Will never use a company which does not come into terminal to wait but drives around outside waiting for you to find them.Would not recommend them. Contacted the company afterwards and they were very unsympathetic.
