I didn't go inside and contented myself with admiring the exterior of the building. It's centrally located and easily accessible on foot. Probably if shipping is your thing it might be worth a stop.

Did this as part of a cruise excursion. Lots of ship models and other historical memorabilia. Interesting enough if you like that sort of thing but the guide went on and on and on. lost the will to live. She was trying hard though.

I was impressed by the exhibits that were on display and I learnt a lot about shipping in the Artic. The curator I met spoke English and was able to explain key parts of different exhibits.

Paid a visit in mid July. To our surprise the museum is closed through the summer months though there is the usual pair of staff members sitting inside just to turn away and would-be visitors. This was a major disappointment for us but what can...More

A huge collection of detailed sea vessel models is waiting for you. These vessels are part of the north-east connection via the Arctic sea. Icebreakers, cargo ships, tugs and submarines (atomic and diesel powered).
