It has a great location, is impressively massive and well-sculptured, and it really marks a significant landmark of history. Of course, it is just a sculpture, you don't drive hours just for this.

Saw this yesterday and thought it was quite amazing. It is very detailed and if you some of the famous Russians, you will be able to find them! From scholars to queens to leaders or war heroes. A very nice monument to see.

One of the greatest historical place to view in Novgorod. Must see anyway. Really a masterpiece and worth visiting.

Very beautiful monument situated in front of St. George Cathedral. Great spot for photos. There are plaques describing the history of this important monument.

Yep, ALL of Russia's key historical figures are on this statue. See how many you know and what they did. Rurik starts the entire history, and cuts a strong presence on this statue.

magnificient piece of work to cellebrate and proclaim the glory of Russia. Every group is considered in this bronze sculpture : royalty, military, clergy and artists. Impressive!!!
