We used TJ on a prior Baltic Cruise in 2015 and they did a fantastic job for us. We initially booked them in 2020 but COVID happened and we rebooked for 2021. We had put down deposits for the 2021 tours. That too went away because of COVID and they graciously offered a full refund or a voucher plus 20% if we stayed with them, which we did. We booked another Baltic Cruise for 2022 and then the Ukraine War happened and all cruise stops to St. Petersburg were cancelled. I was in constant contact with Tatyana, the manager/owner about the situation. This was a difficult time for her as she being of part Ukrainian heritage was very much against the war. As a result she moved her office to Greece. I was concerned about our voucher given the situation but Tatyana readily honored it. TJ not only does tours in SPB but also in most of our other cruise stops. They lined up tours for us in Berlin, Gdansk, Tallinn, Klaipeda and Riga. Before the cruise TJ sent out detailed and accurate information for meeting spots complete with photos. Every tour guide was friendly and knowledgable All of the ours were fantastic with never a concern about getting back to our ship on time. I would absolutely use them again and again and in fact will use them next year in Greece as they now offer tours and several Mediterranian stos.

We had the most remarkable tour with TJ Travel. Not only everything was perfect, but we felt, in every instance, that our guides truly cared about us and did their best to make this trip memorable. This definitely has become the most eye-opening, adventurous, and stunning journey of our life - something we will remember, draw upon, and cherish for many years to come. We were also pleasantly surprised by the diversity of our trip: every new activity offered new experiences. We definitely will be back in the near future!

We had to cancel a 3 day tour through St. Petersburg with TJ Travel because of Covid-19. Although their business was suffering like most in the travel industry, they responded to every email in a friendly and efficient manner and promised a refund of our deposit as soon as possible. We just received the refund. We will definitely reschedule with them when we start traveling again. Their tours look amazing!

We booked a Tour with T J Travel for May 2020 to see St Petersburg. Unfortunately our cruise was suspended and we were unable to go with T J Travel on our booked Tour. During the Corona Virus Pandemic T J Travel has kept us updated, have fully refunded our Tour money back in a timely manner. This is a small business that would be doing it very hard and we very much appreciate their ongoing information to us and also the fact that they have given us the full refund. We would highly recommend this company if anyone wishes to booked tours in St Petersburg in the future.

We were booked with TJ Tours to go on a private 2 day shore excursion in July for 1 day Moscow, 1 day St Petesburg and due to coronvirus we unfortunately had to cancel.
I would like to say to everyone know that the company is very good with their communication and they refuned the full amount of what we paid which is better than most.

Used Shore Excursions 5 years ago (2015) while on a Celebrity Cruise to the Baltic. Our cruise rep suggested Shore Excursions as an alternate to what Celebrity would offer. The tour was excellent, we had a great guide and our group never exceeded 10 people.
I would definitely recommend this as much harder to see things in a timely manner when on big bus loads of people.

We did the two day tour, booking on our Royal Caribbean ship. Tour takes care of visa requirements. Busy schedule, but we saw all the major attractions. Two guides, who were very knowlegable and able to answer any questions. Included lunches. Good buses. Wear good shoes, there is lots of walking. Able to get into attractions without excessive wait, as you may have if visiting independantly. Do the tour, you won't be dissapointed!

I would think either day is fine- they asked me for our cruise itinerary. Some of the attractions may be closed on one of your days so I would recommend sending an email to TJ and asking what they thought. They responded to all my questions pretty quickly (within 1-2 days)

what is the difference of the 2 Day St. Petersburg City Tours offered by TJ Travel?Both say 2 Day City Tours but one is $210 and the other is $285.Thank you

We did a private tour - for 6 adults. We had our own van, tour guide and driver. TJ Travel arranged our tour to be what we requested - via email exchanges. We did 3 days. Our cost was - I think a little less than $300/person. Well worth it. We went right into the Fabrege, Hermitage, Catherine's Palace, Peterhof and the Church of Spilled Blood. Each sight was amazing. We also went to the old synagogue and had a tour (that was just ok). We didn't want to cram a zillion things into our time. We had about an hour to shop - and more would have been nice. Lunch - Ina gave us options each day, and helped with ordering! We can't wait to go back to St. Petersburg. Amazing city.
We are traveling in August on an Oceana Cruise. We have booked our 2 day tour with TJ Tours already..
Now we get an email from Oceana telling us that unless we use one of their tours, or have an independent Visa, we will not be allowed off the ship....can this be true ???
We need an answer ASAP!!!!!
We are also cruising with Oceania in August and booked this 2 day tour months ago. We are on the waiting list for the other TJ tours in other Baltic stops waiting for others to book those so they run the tours but St. Petersburg is confirmed. The cruise line is trying to get you use their tours but they can't force it.
