Well worth a visit even if it does get crowded. The many objects there are just amazing to look at. You could spend days there just wondering about and looking at all the paintings and objects.

This part of the Hermitage is a bit out of the way and hard to find but is well worth the visit. It was a fascinating part of the museum and I highly recommend the detour

We were lucky and our hotel was just around the corner...kept coming to take pics at any time of the day of this marvelous palace. Visit inside (Hermitage museum) and do not miss the palace rooms.

So much to see, so much art and history packed into this one stop. The building is exquisite. Be prepared to move through quickly, but you'll have plenty of time to explore the grounds.
