Our group of 28 geocachers from Canada and US visited the square and held a geocaching event there by the Bronze Horseman. Many interesting old buildings.

This square occupies the area between St Isaacs Square and the River Neva, ending with the statue of The Bronze Horseman looking away from the square towards the river from where presumably any threat will come. There are pleasant if unremarkable walkways among the trees...More

Putin gave a speech at Senate Square on Navy Day 2017. I went there another day and there were wedding couples taking photos there.

This is also called Decembrist Square, and the main attraction is the bronze statue of Peter the Great called the Bronze Horseman

Big park with big statues. So much to see in this City that you can almost become desensitized to the sights. I wonder if people who live here and see this everyday are aware of the amazing sights in this city.

Important part of St. Petersburg history where a famous revolt was quelled in 1825. There is also the Senate and Synod Buildings in the adjacent area. Good views back to St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Neva river.
