A must see - you will not know when to stop taking pictures! Don't forget to look up when inside! Years ago, they used to grow cabbages right out in front of the cathedral --see my picture.

There are many reasons for visiting St Isaac's the best one is to climb the 262 steps to view over St Petersburg. The view is magnificent and gives you a chance to enjoy a wonderful over view of the city and take some great photographs. The interior of the 'church' is opulently decorated in brilliant colours. This is by far one of the most beautiful churches I have ever visited! Incredible mosaics throughout the entire building and gold detail everywhere you set your eyes to! The chandeliers are breathtaking and if you are ever in Saint Petersburg this place is definitely a must!!! Lots of history behind it, really awesome!

Easy access to this richly decorated spacious cathedral where you can wander and soak up the atmosphere. Plenty of staff on hand to help and explain the history. Well worth a visit.

One of the most beautiful Cathedrals of Russia. Restored and kept in perfect state. It stay on the marble polls which are not fixed somehow but by it's own weight. Shortly it will change the status from museum to the church and the entry will be free of charge.

Again, unbelievable. The Russian builders did t fool around. The columns are huge, it doesn't look like it in photos. A truly magnificent cathedral.

The cathedral sits in the midst of very busy streets and having a tour guide walk and talk you through the history of the various Czars and Russia is great.
