We were walking down the street and just happened to see this fantastic museum/palace. It isn't advertised well on the street and we had to go in to see if it was even a museum. And what a museum it is--the most gorgeous rooms you...More

Not to be missed. It's a small gem, hiding in plain view on the corner of Nevsky and Moika. 18th century interiors have been lovingly restored. Look for the mirrored room -- what an amazing optical illusion?

A beautiful unique building from the outside especially with those statues right in the heart of the city. Nice to take good shots of those statues and the building. Unfortunately I did not go inside .

The entrance is unassuming - you'll find it just back from the costumed gent welcoming you to the Chocolate Museum, which actually is in part of the Palace building - but it's worth looking for. The public rooms of this Palace have been partially restored...More
