What an amazing experience! We planned a few days in St Petersburg as part of a bigger trip that ended in Lapland. I have read about the city, it's sights and googled the usual "top 10 things to do". A friend recommended the services of Polina and what an effective and efficient tour guide! She gave us various options to choose from taking our ideas (and our budget) into consideration and was also very honest about places we wanted to visit that she felt was not worthwhile. She also suggested we have "Christmas dinner" (7/1/2020) at Tarkhun restaurant - which serves Georgian food. What a culinary experience! We ate with "gusto"! The city is so beautiful and clean and no beggars on the streets like London! It has excellent restaurants and the prices are very reasonable. We also did a few things on our own and found the Russian people to be friendly and helpful, even though very few of them speak English! A lot of restaurants and shops have young people that can speak some English, but most don't. We downloaded the Yandex translation app which allows you to translate dialogue or take a photo of a menu and translate it to English....this app was a life saver - especially at the airport with customs officials. We also used the Moovit app which gave you train and bus schedules as part of the directions, and it was very helpful to know which stop to get off the bus or the train since all the names are in Cyrillic! Polina, thanks for helping us make our trip an unforgettable one.

Just recovered from another wonderful visit to St Petersburg, yet again I asked Polina and Maria to help me plan my trip and again they didnt dissapoint, I love the way the city is lit up at night and never tire of walking along the embankment in the evening looking at the Hermitage, St Issacs's Catherderal and Peter and Paul Fortress, they look stunning at night. This time Polina suggested Buddy Cafe, its not a cafe but more a Gastro Restaurant, the food is really unusual and presented in an amazing way. Maria was really kind and took me to the souvenir shop before I travelled home so I bought various early Christmas presents. I love going at this time of year as its so much quieter and the queues at the main attractions are not so big. The weather was very kind and the autumnal colours were quite beautiful. The drive to Peterhof gives a wonderful view of what non tourist Russia looks like. The heating is on everywhere so don't worry about being cold. Cant thank you both enough for making my trip so memorable.

If you want a personal tour of St. Petersburg, this is the company to use. We did not want to do the usual tourist tour and so we told Maria exactly what we wanted and she delivered. She will also take you to the usual tourist sites but this was not what we wanted. We wanted a pub and cultural tour. After hearing so much about Russia, we had no idea what to expect. We were shocked. The people were friendly, the streets were clean and the food was great. What a wonderful city. Make sure you take a tour of their subway system. It has crystal chandeliers, marble walls and floor, and beautiful mosiacs. It puts all other subways to shame, like London, New York and Paris. It was phenomenal. In St. Petersburg, they have a store that will rival Harrods in London. It's called "Magazin Kuptsov Yeliseyevykh". We took a boat tour which Maria arranged and we did tour one church, "Savior on the Spilled Blood". I have to say, it was a sight to behold, beautiful inside and outside. We also went to the Vodka Museum to learn about Russia's history of vodka and sample some of their vodka, which was very interesting. Maria speaks fluent English and was very easy to understand and communicate with. If you want to see the usual sights, let Maria know and she will disign your tour around your wishes.Or, if you want to do a pub crawl and vodka tasting, she can plan that as well. There were four of us and we were driven around in a Mercedes van.

Dear bgvoley, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We really love to arrange not typical/classical tours for our guests. 99% of our tours are customized ones. During your tour you managed to cover a lot. St Petersburg is not only a museum under open air you can open it from different sides if you wish. And you did it.

Olga was the best! She made accommodations for my limping husband, was very prompt in meeting us right at the hotel, and just the best personality. I don’t how she can remember all the history, but we learned and saw so much.....Spiceybar!

We had 2 and a half free days in St Petersburg after seeing some major sites with our cruise ship. We made a list of what we wanted to squeeze in and asked Maria to take us to at least some of them. Maria, the wonderguide, arranged and rearranged so that we got to see everything on our list!! For example, at the end of one day, when most sights were closed at 6, Maria took us to the Faberge Museum, because she knew it was open til 8 PM. In between all of the sites of the day, Maria took us to a quick lunches, as we requested, to a pie place where we had delicious chicken and rice pie, and mushroom pie, and coffee and we were out for more fun in less than 30 minutes (as we wanted!) She also took us to an luggage shop a bit out of the city so we could buy an extra bag that we needed to fly home AND she took us to a liquor store which had great prices so we could buy 3 bottles of Mamont Vodka at half the price that our hotel liquor store was charging to bring back home. The most admirable thing she did was to quote us all of her fees before we got to Russia and then as we added sites to visit during the 2 and a half days, she did not charge us one ruble extra. Our list included: Smolny Convent, Peter and Paul Fortress, the Aurora Ship, Cabin of Peter the Great, Church of the Spilled Blood, Faberge Museum, Tour of the St. Petersburg Synagogue, Yusupov Palace, Museum of the Seige of Leningrad, St Isaac's Church, the Bronze Horseman, KuntsKamera, the Hermitage including the Diamond Treasure Room - and Maria took us to all these places, all in 2 and a half days and we never felt rushed for a minute. She even came out to dinner with us one evening and helped us order! Maria took many wonderful photos of my husband and me together which all turned out wonderful. Maria was also fun to be with! Let Maria show you St. Petersburg, you will not regret it!
