The Kremlin is one of the main sights in Astrakhan. The place has seen many historic events but right now there is nothing much to be seen. The building is nicely maintained as it was recently renovated.

The Kremlin is really the central attraction of Astrakhan. Magnificent churches, belfry, walls - all are an impressive island of the past. The history of the city won;t be understood without visiting this unique place.

I was very taken with the Astrakhan Kremlin. The buildings there are beautiful and the park is lovely for a stroll, even on the cold day I was there.

I visited this beautiful area on a very cold december day, in 2015. I have no words. Russians just know a thing or two about architecture.
