Stolby is loved by the people of Krasnoyarsk who love to walk or run there. It is 7 kilometres from the parking to the area where the fascinating rock formations are. We were lucky in being part of an organised group so had a shuttle...More
A spectacular nature reserve so close to the city. The stoblys, tall volcanic rock formations are nestled in beautiful forest. You need a guide so you don't have to walk the 7km up to the reserve. If you book through the Sayan Circle you may...More

Absolutely. It's a nice hike up top and then the boys could climb around rocks of various difficulties. Make sure they are not too brave as help is quite far. Girls can brave some rocks too. On top of all the climbing activities you can definitely enjoy the scenery. All this applies for summer. Not quite sure about winter but there should be a quite good ski resort as I've heard. That would make it an all year round 'yes' for the whole family.
