Was given a mini tour of Volgograd and I was shown the half a dozen or so original buildings that remained after the war. This flour mill was one. Has to be checked out if you are in town.

The Battle of Stalingrad has always been of interest to me and visiting the Flour Mill Ruins was sobering. I like the way the history was preserved, that we may never forget.

Just outside the big museum this old ruin really gives you a glimpse into the utter destruction the city suffered during the war.
