Yuexiu Park and Yuexiu Mountain are famous for being one of the city’s symbol, being the Five Rams sculpture. It is located atop Yuexiu Mountain, or better called Yuexiu Hill. A myth has it that immortals rode the rams into the city and taught the locals how to grow rice. Other stories have the rams chasing evil beings out of... More

Good place to check out if you are in Guangzhou for a cultural experience. Not that quite of a hike, but it is a good place to go.

Large Park. Lots of things to see. You could send all day here. Bring a picnic lunch or snacks as prices are elevated inside and food concessions are few and far between. There is a fish pond which entices the kids, the statue of the 5 rams, part of the original Guangzhou wall and a museum among other things. The... More

Thank God for the buggy service available where the convenience shop and water bank was located. Seeing the long flight of stairs was off putting, especially since we have been walking a lot in the last few days. The buggy took us up much nearer to the iconic 5 rams and there was nothing much to do other than taking... More

If you are travelling with elderly and small kids, it will be better if you take the the small car to travel across the attractions in the mountain. However, you will still need to climb to see the goat structure....be prepared to climb many steps

I worked in Guangzhou for four weeks in October and November 2016. Yuexiu Park is a really nice place. The centerpiece of the park is the famous ram statue. You have to walk up a lot of steps to get there. It is a good photo opportunity. There are some interesting souvenir stores to go in. I think you can... More

The site is not far from the city and if not on an organized trip then a cam ride will do it. Have the cab wait for you. The views of the city from that vintage point are amazing. This is a very well known tourist site for locals as well as tourists.
