Purposely dropped by this building that was designed by the famous Architect, Zaha Hadid when in Guangzhou. Very disappointed to see the state of the building which completed in 2010. The building already showing cracks and stains everywhere obviously lack of maintenance.

We went with our 4-year old on a late Saturday evening. Yeah the opera house is surely a different building, but we had more fun walking around over the lighted floors and a panorama of Kenton, IFC n other towers. Must visit for all ages if you are at Guanzhou. If you have kids, they will love jumping on the... More

This is a wonderful location to see a concert or a show but better for musical than straight plays as the acoustics are a little poor for acting. Booking on line is difficult but at the Opera House itself the front desk staff are very helpful - and there's a lovely coffee shop!

Very nice to walk around and enjoy the design/ sculptures. From there you can walk to the square, stadium, river and in the modern area of the city. Convenient to take subway to other area like old streets. What a pity we came in on the day which has no show.

Great example of modern art and architecture in Opera House designed by Zaha Hadid. I'm really impressed ! To see everything inside you have to pay 20 rmb, worth to pay for it!

A very striking building (I only got to see the outside), with its floating lines that make it look like a space ship amidst the angular skyscrapers surrounding it.

The Guangzhou Opera House is one of the new iconic buildings located in the Huacheng Square...a pleasant place to spend a delightful morning. Was truly impressed with the open air art pieces on display outside the Opera House. Would certainly return the next time to view a concert there.

Most cities have an opera house and this is for Guangzhou. It is very comparable to those in other major cities and has its own style. Nice.
