This resort is worth the trip but please note that you can only visit between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. Make sure you bring good shoes and expect to walk lots. The area is quite varied with the ancient rock quarry, large variety of lotus plants, Buddhist temple and Chinese zodiac decorations.

The scenery is wonderful and the air is pleasant. One of the unexpected surprises was a little shop that sold honey and honey confections like buns and ice cream.

Just returned from a trip to the Lotus Mountain and I would like to correct a few things from the previous reviews that I found to be not entirely right.
Reaching the site is quite easy: in front of the Shiqi metro station there is a bus stop for buses number 92 and 93. Take either one to the end stop (the price is 2 yuan regardless of the destination). The ride will take around 10-15 minutes. The end stop is located on a main way where you can see on both sides a countless series of incences shops and street sellers. From that point on, there are indications on how to find the entrance: if walking straight for about 200m and turning right you will find the West Gate.
The admission fee is 40 yuan per person, but some attractions are not included, for example: Lotus Pagoda (2 yuan), Eagle Tunnel and Cliff (1 yuan)... There are a few elite restaurants in the park and some food sellers, but prices are awfully high (7 yuan for a bottle of water, 5-12 yuan for an ice-cream), so bringing some snacks and drinks from home is advisable.
As for the place in itself, you will see an ancient pagoda and related temple (worth the visit), as well as many carefulyl set up sceneries (very pleasant, but looking so fake).
The main reason I decided to visit the Lotus Mountain was actually the quarry site, which proved to be the greatest disappointment. I was expecting nature tracks, but everything is paved there, although there are some nice passageways on the lotus lakes and some spots are actually impressing. Anyway, I have spent a good day and I would recommend a visit.

Getting there was pretty difficult. There are two stations where you can get a bus there. One is Shiqiao Station while the other is Shiqi Station. I went to Shiqiao Station to take the bus. Exit from exit (D) and look for the passenger station 公交站, which is about 10 min walk away. Then from there, look for the bus that goes to Lotus Hill, which if i'm not wrong is at Lane 6 and it cost 4RMB. You pay on board and takes about 50minutes to reach. Along the way, it will reach Shiqi Station. Therefore, I'll strongly recommend one to take the metro to Shiqi station and board the bus from the bus stop right at the front of the station since it is easier to find and it takes just about 10min from there to Lotus Hill. The bus will stop at the Lotus Hill interchange and from there, you walk about 5mins to the tourist centre aka the foot of Lotus Hill. Along the way (in fact, when you alighted from the bus), people will sell incenses to you.

The entrance fee cost 40RMB per pax and if you are lazy to walk up the hill, you can take the trams at 10RMB. As I went in the wrong season, there wasn't anything interesting to see actually. No lotus... Signs wasn't that clear to me. There's only one vegetarian restaurant there.. but there's a hotel too. So i had my lunch at the hotel's restaurant, which comes pretty pricey.

Overall, it was a unique experience for me to see the cliffs, the beauty of natural landscape. But it's a place where I'll just visit once.. and it will definitely be better if you go at the right time (to see the lotus)

We took a metro from Haizhu station to Shiqi Station and it took almost an hour via train. From Shiqi station, walked towards the bus stop in front of the metro station. Took bus no. 93 (only CNY2) and alighted at the last stop (bus station). At the bus station, turned right and walked about 5 mins. The entrance of Lotus Hill is on the right hand side. Admission fee is CNY40 per pax. Recommended to take the tram as it can be quite tiring to walk towards the pagoda/kwan yin statue. However, if you take the tram, you'll miss some of the beautiful scenary on the way. The park is quite large, hence lots of walking required. Spent at least 2.5 hours. Good to take a snapshot of the park map to have better navigation.

Out of the city, but an interesting site for those who have time to spare.
About 1.5 hours travel by public transport. Easiest to take subway to Shiqi station. Take bus 93, right in front of subway station.
Depending on what you want to see, expect to spend 2.5 hours to 4 hours there.

Went there a semi rainy day in May 2015. Entrance fee was 50 RMB and a ride to the top cost 10 RMB, after that a few attractions inside cost like 1 or 2 RMB. The walk itself was a few hours and at the bottom of the site they had amazing cliffs and a good view from above. It's a real gem for photographers, since there are plenty of good pictures to be taken.

It was a pleasant experience getting to know about the deity that helped the people from the dragon, there is a high tower (pagoda) magnificent statue, and a temple, don't miss the higher floors of the temple, nice view from the scenery. old quarry swallow hill was very beautiful, some parts were banned because of heightened water levels

Great place to spend the day...lots of great photographic opportunity. Have a peaceful feeling. The ground and garden were clean and well taken care of. Lots of walking with many great stairs. You can get away from the hassle and bustle from the city.
