Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

beware of this store!!!! - the lady quotes really high prices to rip off foreigners and locals and she was very rude when we didn’t want to buy something or exchange something. The other stores were very nice and overall nice market- please be careful of this store

There are at least 3 multi-storey malls along the street, so after going to bai ma there are 2 others to hit. Each one has numerous stores selling clothes, shoes, even jewelry, all at cut rate prices. A lot of dross mixed in with the good stuff so patience is a virtue. Easy access by subway. While you can usually negotiate a lower price if buying in bulk, drawback is most shops don't let you try on the clothes before buying.

On almost every visit. I buy something at the Baima Garment Market. It is often an unplanned purchase, but rather something new that catches my eye. Thus, I love this market.

I've been to Baima a great number of times and I have seen the place change throughout the years. True it was once heaven for fake copycat brands but now it's just become a scam house. The shops have changed too, the amazingly cheap and friendly shops of then have been replaced by rude scam artists who have no respect for the client, and the prices are nowhere near as cheap as they once were. IMO the place suffers from its popularity. Not worth your time if you are here for business or shopping alike, there are plenty of other markets with better prices and quality.

This is a fun market in which to purchase inexpensive clothing. The majority of the items can be purchased in small quantities. Some retailers will only sell in bulk quantities of 5, 10, 100, 500, or more. Bargaining is possible in many of the stores. On this visit, I purchased some clothing and backpacks for my grandchildren.

I really looked forward to going to this famous Wholesale and retail market in Guangzhou and so made sure i visited all the floors in the market but was a bit disappointed because the prices of items were a bit on the high side compared to their quality. Here you get so many stores selling jewelries, shoes, watches, belts, scarf, cosmetics, gifts , clothing and many more unfortunately I didn't really buy anything at this market thou I wanted to buy wholesale/ bulk because of the high prices compared to markets around

When you are Guangzhou you must treat yourself to a shopping experience in these markets. There are so many different stalls and such an amazing variety. The prices are excellent value and it is a bargain hunters dream. Allow yourself plenty of time as you will spend hours just browsing.

8 levels of shopping. As we were here during winter, mostly are winter clothing. Level 1 are more crowded as the fashion is nicer. Level 8 is mostly korean items. Not alot of shops on this level though and is pricey. 2 levels of men fashion. But don't have too much expectations. Sales staff are friendly. Worth a visit. There is another big mall opposite Baima but we didnt get to go as we were moving on to Beijing Lu.
