Just near the Muslim Quarter and the Bell Tower. Make sure you get there at night with all the lights on. Check the time for the performances and get there a little early to get a good spot. it's worth spending some time there.
Beautiful pagodas best viewed with lit up at night. The square is bustling with vendors, shops, and restaurants. Great vendor lined streets to wander and wonder at the items offered for sale. Safe to walk at night.

The Drum Tower and the Bell Tower are large pagodas which are particularly spectacular at night. You can also visit the interiors which are sort of small museums. The Drum Tower has a drumming exhibitiion I think once a day (maybe twice). I don't think you'd need a guide, and they are quite close to each other. Also not a long walk from the city wall which is worth seeing. They are in the center of the old walled city area and are adjacent to the lively Muslim quarter. Definitely worth going to!
