Perfect place for a date

I was here in the evening with my friend. Show starts at 20.45. Music, lights, dancing water - it's perfect place for a date. Looks like a mirracle!

The northern district of Xi'an is a very busy place. Full of nightlife, hustle and bustle. Definitely worth the experience as you will not be disappointed.

We booked an evening city tour which included the musical light fountain show. At first we thought we wouldn't be able to see it as there was so many people and hard to get a place with a decent view. A lovely lady created a space for us to view and see the show. From then on we were captivated.... More

Go at sunset to see the dancing fountains. The water is timed to the music and everyone gathers to watch in awe at the spectacle. Some people even get soaked trying to cross the square during it. A really cool, fun, and different thing to do. Visited in March 2014.

Whilst the fountain show is really pretty and impressive, I would not advise going too far out of your way for this. The rest of the square is gorgeous and worth the meander. It is beautiful at night, and the pagoda is all lit up!

Visited Dayan Pagoda on Sunday. Just a no. Of shops selling the usual touristy stuff but the area looks good in photographs. The fountain show was huge size wise but otherwise it is just another fountain performance. Easy to get to this place via subway line 3 .

This attraction is worthwhile seeing especially if you are willing to walk. I would recommend that you take in the fantastic monorail scenic ride which takes about 45 minutes - really worthwhile ride.

The fountain's large and set with the Pagoda in the background and interesting for say 10 minutes but otherwise nothing amazing.

It is not a wow place, speciallly if you have visited other pagodas in China. However you can feel the Chinese culture. If you come to Xi'an, this is a great place to go. It is very easy to get there, as there is a metro station right in front of the square.
