For 90 minutes, the visitor is taken through the cultural history of some of the 26 ethnic minority tribes in Yunnan. The show started very slowly and seemed repetitious, but once it got going, it was breath taking. Some very energetic drumming, dancing and singing followed, topped by the charming voice of the little girl. The climax is the peacock... More

Well worth seeing and even better if you have someone local to tell you a bit of the history as the show unfolds, but they do have translation on side screens. I have seen it 3 times and would go again.

We went to see this play on a Sunday night. It's beautiful and it shows some of the Yunnan culture and history. Very intense drums sound. My 11 year old daughter slept through the whole play. The local kids seemed to be enjoying it though. We adults liked it.

Very entertaining show. We paid US$45 for front row seats. Not sure if that was too close to see the whole picture but at least we didn't get others to block our views. The show has a 4 part story to tell. Beautifully done stage designs and very colorful lighting. A lot of rhythmic dance and tribal music from various... More

An almost non-stop 90 minute medley of song and dance energetically performed by talents from Yunnan's ethnic minority groups. May not be suitable for young children as some of the costumes and loud chants could be a bit frightening for them. Bring your ID's when purchasing tickets-senior citizens and students (primary thru high school age) are eligible for an additional... More

I've been to several shows in China and this one is one of the best. It is a dance and music show done by artists from various minorities in Yunnan. Lots of rythm, energy and you really get into it. There was even a little girl participating in the show, and she clearly took her role seriously. She was truly... More

The Dynamic Yunnan is an original native song and dance ensemble by the different eleven ethnic tribes. The performance was high in energy, colourful in presentation and we were unexpectedly moved by the show. Yang Li Ping is the creative director and choreographer, she is famous for her peacock dance. This is an attempt to preserve the rich culture and... More

This show is fantastic and a credit to Yunnan and the Chinese people and culture. The show opened with about 50 drummers on stage and it just got better from there. My wife and I were "Gob Smacked"! We were tempted to go again and see the show a second time but unfortunately time did not allow. Do it! You... More

This is a combination of singing, dancing and acting in seven or eight different parts. Of all the performances we saw in China, this one was the most professional and the most artistic. Thought it was a real chef d'oevre of art. Sometime it was so powerful and so energetic it made me chills. Highly recommended !

Even didn't expect that it will be such a nice show. The performance relates about different minor nationalities which live in Yunnan. Very nice costumes, musical instruments and dancers. Please don't miss this place.
