In the morning there are many locals playing badminton or dancing or qigong exercise in various spot. Be prepared to spend 3 hrs to explore the... More

Golden Temple is the most famous sightseeing in Kunming. Not only traveler like there, many schools also choose it as the hiking destination for students to learn more about Kunming's history and science phenomena. I grow up in Kunming, so for me,I have been there at least three times. I have to say the natural environment there are really good.... More

Couple stairs ..... But really worth the experience. The price has increase by 500 pc in last 3 years to 30 RMB per head.... Still very much worth. Plan 2 hours min ... There is room for half a day.

This is well worth a visit as there is so much to see. The walk up to the temple itself is very interesting with other decorated gateways, a small museum and lots of statues. Temple itself is quite small but beautiful. There is lots to do in the area including lovely gardens, walkways and paths around the hill. Best its... More

Although hotel staff, taxi drivers and others told us: too far, not interesting and so on, we decided to go!, To get there is very easy, many buses are going for ex. line 47 from Renmin Lu. The Temple is very nice and certainly worth to go with all its decoration of flowers, but the Tea flower collection (Camelia), the... More

Lush and beautiful garden. Knowing the history of the temple will make your trip much more valuable and memorable (tourists may need to hire a tour guide or study the history before visit). Worth your time to visit since you are already in Kunming.

One of China's biggest copper structures, the golden temple is a lovely complex in a quiet park. You can get there with bus 10, drive all the way to the end. After climbing up multiple flights of stairs, you can explore a quiet park, including this beautiful temple. Worth a visit, if you want to get the "out of the... More

As is common with all tourists, we also went to see the Kunming Golden Temple which is spread over a vast area and built in 1672 by Qing Dynasty it has good landscaped garden all around. There are a number of temples. The area also has living trees as old as from 1602.

Goes on forever. Helps if you understand what all the different level mean. Would definitely suggest a guide.
