Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very peaceful and right by Leifang pagoda so probably worth a visit if you're there. It's got a good view of the pagoda. However most of the buildings actually seem to have been rebuilt fairly recently.

It may not cover the same area as the Lingyin Pagoda on the north west side of West Lake, but the Jingci temple is still really worth seeing and although it still involves steps and a climb, it's not nearly as arduous as Lingyin. Plus, it's only RMB10 to enter. Less than 1/6 the cost of Lingyin. Some really interesting temples and halls, all of which are worth exploring. The bell tower just inside the entrance gate is particularly interesting if you head to the second floor. There are far, far fewer crowds than Lingyin, too.

Jingci Temple was not on our route planned to visit, but we have ended up here to pay a short visit. This Temple is said to be the one of the four most famous temples at the West Lake.İn any case, the time you are going to have at this place will take you to another world for a moment in total quiteness and relax athmosphere.Highly recommended.

If you are tired of huge crowds of bus tourists, this spot will give a little relief. It's right off the south end of West Lake, an easy walk from Lei Feng Pagoda.
It's peaceful, pretty, and well worth the effort. Inexpensive admission (10 Yuan.)

Beautiful, clean and quiet temple. For entrance, It costs you RMB 10/person. They have Chi Kung big statue inside, which is very special because not many temples have his statue. I was mesmerized too when I arrived at the top of the temple, they have beautiful statue of Buddha with great atmosphere. I will definitely visit this temple if I go to Hangzhou again.

I actually prefer Jingci Temple to Lingyin Temple. Admission ticket is 10yuan. It is opposite Leifeng Pagoda. This is actually not on my itinerary, I just randomly decided to visit after Leifeng Pagoda and I'm glad I did. This is also a huge temple where you need to climb some stairs (not as huge as Lingyin temple). When you get high enough, you can see Leifeng Pagoda since it's opposite the temple.
Since there's less people, it's also quiet and serene here. There's a Jingci Temple restaurant beside the temple, I think you need to exit the temple to get there, they sell vegetarian noodles.

It is quite close to the West Lake and to the Leifend Pagoda so it is quite easy to visit. We liked it a lot since it is a real temple (with some activity), it has many Halls and many parts, some of them quite beautiful and because it is SO quiet compared to other parts of Hangzhou. You can spend some time relaxing there and enjoying the views and the own temple.

Although forgotten by many visitors coming to its' neighbour Leifeng Pagoda, this temple is an haven of calm that deserves a visit.

This rather large temple complex is worth the visit. The entrance fee is not high and you will visit a complex with different temples. Beautifull statues and and tyhe garden around the comlex a nice for a stroll.

It is not a single temple. It is a complex of several temples. For the highest temple you need to climb something around ten ten floors. If you can get to the top you will have a great view of the West Lake, a forest surrounding it and the Leifeng Pagoda which is just across the road. It is worth climbing to the top...
