This mansion isn't as old as it looks: it is from the Qing (aka Manchu) Dynasty and was built in the 19th Century. It is a very beautiful piece of architecture, however, and well worth visiting. There is a large pond with carp fish in...More

We really enjoyed learning about the history of Mr. Hu. The house is very artistically designed and the history is fascinating.

This is the most beautiful, impressive sight we saw during our 3-weeks tour through classical China! A very nice Chinese garden with a pond in the middle and pavilions and galleries around it. Ok, you can see something similar in other places in China, too....More

The owner was told to have up to 12 wives .... Magnificent house which definitely worth the visit. Do not miss the caves. A little bit out of the city center but do not hesitate to take a taxi for 20 rmb and visit.

Tips: Get a tour guide for better experience & understanding if you cannot understand Chinese word as all descriptions inside are in Chinese.
