Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Searched for location and off to the temple which is actually a mosque. Quite run down and hardly anyone around. Was there during dzuhur to offer my prayer. Its also close to the Hefang street shopping place but mainly souveniers and silk stuff. Very was terribly hot in July.. around 41deg. Drink plenty of water and don't forget your sunglass and umbrella.

To reach the phoenix mosque, you may use metro line 1 at Ding'an road station, very near only 150 metres.

Had to find a mosque for the friday prayers during my visit in Hangzhou and found that there is a mosque that was originally built in the 7th century.

It is well maintained and not spoilt with modern structures. Still holds some of its traditional looks. It was nice to find some halal food stalls outside the masjid. Many muslims from various different countries had gathered to feast on the halal food, as it is difficult to find in other areas in Hangzhou

Reading that the mosque is one of the oldest islamic relicts in China, we decided to visit the mosque. Sadly the real mosque does not keep up with its history. The mosque was very basic equipped (not like other mosques in other countries). Also it was not a typical "fancy" tourist attractions, the people were supprised to see us taking pictures in and arround the mosque.
