It made me appreciate just how steep the jump is! A quick chairlift ride up and back - definitely rug up in winter. The museum at the base was unfortunately closed ahead of the Asian Winter Games when we visited.

We went at night in winter time. Was lovely view. Gets crowded later so go right when the sun is going down or early. cheap and fun ride.

How many chances will you have to go to the top of an Olympic ski jump? We were there on a snowy day but the views from the top were still clear. Chair lift has a bar across your lap and you are never that high off the ground so even those who might be squeamish will be OK. At... More

The view from this observation point is really amazing. Surrounded with white snow and nature. really love this spot. I deeply appreciated the staff SERVICE for golden folks here. Their staff is willing to stop the cable car to ensure my 65 years old mum is able to sit properly before resume operation to reach the observation point. How nice... More

"Wow" with the stunning view of the Ski jump arena. You can have an incredible seen on the observation deck. It made me feel that I just want to jump over and my heartbeat kept pounding heart. I had the best ice- cream of Hokkaido in the lounge.

Olympic ski jump, used during winter Olympics. Must experience the chair lift for 450 yen (50 yen off by using Sapporo app for tourist) where your legs will be hanging in the air while the ski cable takes you to the top of the ski jump. Good experience to know that how ski stadium looks like and how steep the... More

Took the local bus here, had to walk about 600m up the hill but that's no problem for us. It was ¥500 yen per adult (12yo and over) for the ski lift. We could walk up as there was too much snow. We received a ¥50 discount voucher on soft serve with the lift ticket. The view from the top... More

Mount Okura is the sight of the Sapporo 1972 Winter Olympic Ski Jump Venue. Everything in the stadium reminds of the the winter Olympic. The escalator going to the sight is stell reinforced and so sturdy. You then go up the ski jump area via a sli lift, which for someone used to the tropics is an experience. Up there... More
