Nice place to have picnics and just chillax! There are a few entrances to the park. Easy drive from Sapporo.

Merely half an hour drive from Sapporo. This national park is huge. Divided into few entraces to visit different kind of view. Unfortunately we managed enter 1 only. Spent whole day here if time permit. This is a last minute decision to come here, and we are happy and no regret.

How to go there on public bus without a need to transfer? The park is about 14 mi south of Sapporo downtown. We took Chuo bus #106 (滝野線) from terminal to terminal. The Sapporo Chuo Bus Terminal is located about 0.7 mi south of Sapporo JR Station in downtown. It is about 3 blocks east of the Sapporo Clock Tower... More

Visit the place early (Hokkaido) summer and the fileds are filled with flowers, as far as you eyes can see. Plenty of space to run around, explore and learn! It is a whole day trip as there is soo much to do. The restaurants there are not too bad either!

Has lots of options to offer for families such as camping facilities, waterfall viewing spots, kids playing areas, observatory areas and a beautiful country garden where there are nice flowers blooming in august. Good place to spend a full day here.

Our group (2 families with 4 kids ranging from 5 - 13) stopped here to give the kids a run around at the end of a day out to Lake Shikotsu-ko. Everyone had a ball! Really fantastic, different play areas which encouraged us all to run and play and explore. All of the kids really loved it and wished we'd... More

I came here on the last day that they opened for skiing (sometime in early april). We didn't ski as we already had some fun in another resort, but we tried the tube tobaggan and snow bikes. The snow was not ideal at this time and we didn't slide down as fast as expected, but the kids still had lots... More
