Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We saw this dark ominous tower on the train ride in from the airport and decided to check it out because it reminded us of the Tower of Sauron. It was a cool, grey day so it felt like a trip into Mordor. The tower is quote impressive and the park looks very nice, although there was no one there because it was cold.

This is a great place to visit year round, with many kilometers of tracks in this 2,000 ha forest. During winter the trails become un-groomed cross-country ski courses, and during spring, summer and autumn walks there is a constantly changing array of flowers and birds to look for. Local guides are available - try Japan Nature Guides.

This is a very huge park. Very clean and pleasant place. Very few people here and a good place for unwinding in the nature.

This park is spacious and pretty flat. Good for hiking, biking, snowshoeing and skiing. You're likely to see a woodpecker. Sometimes you can spot owls and even flying squirrels.

Always see this tower on the way to Chitose Airport by train. Finally made a visit to this park. I took a local train from Sapporo and alight at Shinrinkoen Station. Turn Right when exit from the ticket machine, there is a underpass leading to the other side of the station which have to walk 20-25 minutes to reach this Park. Alternatively, take bus No 22 from Shin Chitose and alight at the parking area of this park.
This is a big park and with few visitors even on weekend. Should plan to visit the Historical village together, so can covers both places on the same day.
