Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went there during the snow festival this year. I was surprised that the stores close at 8pm. The food places stay open till 10pm. This is a very nice mall. A little confusing trying to find where all the stores are, but I finally found them.

This stop in on the factory loop line from Sapporo station Tokyu department store south exit to sapporo beer garden. It's mostly sports brands and lots of ski snowboard stuff, perfect for the season. Slightly cheaper than the malls. Lots of restaurants too.

Sapporo Factory Mall can be reached after exiting JR Sapporo station. It took us about 15 mins walk from the station. This mall was previously a huge beer factory that is converted to a shopping mall.
What makes it different is the architecture of the glass roof.

Not much for shopping , but to enjoy the structure of the building and their indoor garden would be amiable. Would be lovely to take pictures inside and outside the mall.

It has few restaurants (sushi , indian (halal) and this mall has prayer room at Level 3.

Great shopping mall with some good brands, an IMAX, and an atrium-based food court; perfect for sitting “outside” on a cold day.

The shopping mall is housed in multiple buildings and is easily accessible by car (free parking for the first hour) and by subway - Tozai Line/Bus Center Mai station.

Well worth a visit!

If you want local shopping especially for arts and crafts this is the place! Sapporo Factory is a complex. My fave is on the second floor of the Brick Building. Love the many choices for gifts and wearable art. Check out Chandy Moon for jewelry. (There was a photography fair when we went. So it was nice to enjoy it with the residents.) You can walk to the complex from the center or take the bus.

We had visited Sapporo several occasions in the past, and Sapporo factory was never in our itinerary. Last week, we had a day to kill so we decided to visit the place. It is a fairly interesting converted factory shopping mall with new extension of modern building adjacent to it. The visit was nothing special, however the experience of being cheated for the first time ever , in so many of our Japan trips, was unbelievable. There is a buffet restaurant on the ground floor, in a corner. In fact , I am sure the only buffet restaurant there. Since we do not speak Japanese, we pointed to the picture which showed spaghetti and lobster for 円1500 per person. We were then told in broken English that the dish was for lunch part of the buffet served at 12:00. We decided to reserve a table for two at 12:00. We were seated @ 12:00, few minutes later a cook rang a bell and then placed a big dish of spaghetti , enough for 10 people, with a small half lobster on it. We then approached the foods counter, and proceeded to help ourselves; and to our horror there was no lobster, ONLY THE SHELL. You hear me right " only an empty half shell"
We then asked the man ,who took the payment and whom we spoke to , to explain where the lobster was ? Suddenly his broken English vanished . He then pointed his finger to other foods which we did not have intention to try. They looked so unappetising. I repetitively pointed my finger to the picture as I spoke. The picture clearly displayed spaghetti with lobster , he just pretended not understanding a word I said.
After a few minutes, as it was obvious that he did not intend to give me a refund, I gave up, leaving 円3000 in the restaurant coffer.
A bitter lesson I do not want other to experience.

When I visited it several years ago, it was a place with showroom on the manufacturing of beer. Now, it is just a place with small stores on the first floor and restaurants on the ground floor. If it is just one of the malls, why border to travel to here?

An excellent shopping centre with a large range of shops. Definitely worth a visit if you like sports stores such as Nike, Adidas, Oakley and Northface. There is a good food court with a number of excellent restaurants. You can easily spend a few hours here.

If you like shopping, this is a one stop shopping mall for you. An old beer factory converted into a large shopping mall with many local and international brands. If you are a tourist, remember to redeem your free Sapporo beer voucher at the customer service centre for free.

We have been to Sapporo for 3 times, Sapporo factory is the destination we don't miss to visit. Not only because Sapporo draft beer @ Sapporo factory is my favourite, you can find a lot of shops in this mall. There are plenty of sport clothing shops. I always buy a lot of sport clothes from Descent shops as their price is much cheaper than I found in HK. Besides, if you want to buy skiing jacket, there's a lot of choices for you.
