The Sapporo City Tram is an easy way to get around Sapporo at a relaxed pace. Good for catching in the sights of the city and observing everyday life of the locals in the city.

We took a loop with the tram at about 8pm. Heard that it went through interesting places. Unfortunately, it was very crowded with commuters and did not see anything interesting. It is good if you want to visit Mt. Moiwa. The tram station to get...More

The trams are slightly cheaper than the subway and allow a glimpse of the city, good for a DIY intro to Sapporo.

Great mode of alternate transportation to explore the other side of Sapporo town. Connecting you from Odori to Mt. Moiwa, Sappora Med Uni to Toyohiragawaryokuchiya Baseball Field. Riding the tram during peak hours, not recommended for toddler, gives you experience of the local culture. If...More

Convenient transportation in downtown Sapporo for 170Yen, although it does not go very far. It comes by about every 7-8 minutes except during peak hours when it is every 3 minutes. Sapporo city is very walk-able but if you want to ride some of the...More

Efficient, easily-understood network which actually delivers passengers very efficiently in the centre of Sapporo. The newer trains are actually both more interesting and pleasant than the old rolling stock, which is largely charmless and not very practical. The rides are cheap, and the service is...More

Having tired legs and some time to spare, I decided to hop on to a tram at Odori Park, just to make the loop for an experience of the lesser seen parts of Sapporo for a tourist like me! I guessed most tourist would only...More

Try to get a day pass if you are there during weekend! it such worth for value. But bear in mind, it will stop exactly at 11.00pm no matter what. for example, 11.00pm on the dot, current station is 5th on the route and yours...More

It was interesting to see Sapporo having a tram system. Fares are on a flat fee basis which means same price however far you travel. The tram loops around the city and is quite good for catching the different views of Sapporo. Passes by some...More

I took the tram a couple of times around Sapporo City and it was so much fun. It took a bit more than an hour to complete the 'loop' and I highly recommended it. The trams were on time and they had a few stops...More

Subways and trams seem to use separate day passes. The subway has a day pass, good any day of the week. Subway and Streetcar have one day weekend & holiday passes that are cheaper. Some web pages (not all) mention a... More
